Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Users who submit comments or other content grant AMA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to display and use that content on the Site. Users represent that they hold the rights to submitted content and that it does not infringe third-party rights. All comments must comply with our Terms of Use. We reserve the right to remove any comment that violates site standards or applicable law.

Comment metadata is retained indefinitely to allow recognition and approval of follow-up comments automatically. Users who register on the Site may also edit or delete their personal information at any time (except their username).
